Precipice

Mech Miniatures Combat

In the hazy breach of possibilities between countless worlds, machines heave and guns roar. Steel breaks, and soldiers die.

Welcome to the Precipice.

Precipice is a game of mech battles, designed by experienced miniatures game designer and lifelong mecha fan Max Brooke. Precipice blends a love of old-school, hobby-oriented games with thematic, modern design that centers the action on the cockpit. Every encounter is a tense fight for survival at the edge of realities!

Games of Precipice range from quick duels (30-60 minutes) to chaotic free-for-all brawls to linked sorties consisting of multiple encounters, in which your pilot must scramble for supplies and survival.

The full launch is coming to Kickstarter summer of 2026, but you don’t have to wait to get involved! Right now, you can:

We hope that you’ll join us for this journey!

In Precipice, you can play with any suitable mech miniature. Mechs can range from 3” to 8” or larger, with a machine’s size in the game based on the size of its miniature.

Whether you want to use your favorite model kit, scratch-build your totally original creation, or use a mech from the worlds of Precipice, you can put your ideal machine on the table.

Customize Your Machine

Once you’ve chosen a suitable miniature, you build it in the rules with your choice of a wide range of components. Use Part cards to construct the machine’s body, then add Gear cards to represent its systems and weapons.

Tune your combination of components to assemble an iconic Precipice machine, craft your ideal creation, or recreate your favorite mech from fiction.

Jump Into the Cockpit

Precipice is played through the eyes of your pilot. The focus always stays on your pilot and the machine they control, which you direct through the Input Action System.

Before each burst of action, you and your opponent each secretly plan out a chain of Input cards. Then, during the burst, players alternate revealing those cards in sequence to resolve your pilot’s actions.

The Worlds of Precipice

The Precipice is a twisting realm that connects innumerable worlds, a few of which take the spotlight for the game’s published scenarios and fiction.

Each of these worlds has been crafted by a specific writer who brings their unique perspective to highlight particular facets of the mecha genre. Along with the world’s creator, each world has a lead concept artist who defines its unique aesthetics.

Over the leadup to the Kickstarter, more of these world (and the fantastic teams behind them) will be revealed…
